That is a good list, I have some of those frequencies on my scanner, and I will add the ones I don't have, thanks.

Well, you can delete 234.8, 294.5 and 363.8 as they were ATC-operated frequencies. We had 234.8 installed in the portable control tower at the CNE for years when we were still Transport Canada (prior to the formation of NAV Canada), the other 2 were Toronto ATC but they've been decommissioned for years. 266.3 sounds familiar, I think it was the UHF side of the Toronto ATC PAL at London in years-past. Also removed from service.

Snowbirds have been known to use 117.0 at the CNE as well, but less often than 116.0. 123.325 has also been used regularly at various events.

Thanks for the noted updates. I checked my list again this time at the actual tags. 234.8 is the only one I had tagged. It was a Boss Control frequency

I wouldn't expect to hear a lot during these fly-bys as there aren't likely going to be any acrobatics allowed over urban areas and in the middle of ATC-controlled airspace. Remember that an actual airshow has NOTAMs in place closing or restricting blocks of airspace exclusively for the performers, this won't be the case for straight passes or level orbits. Maybe a bit of "smoke on, smoke off" and "break left" etc. but not much more.

123.1, 123.6 and 234.8 along with 121.5 and 243.0 were in the Toronto ATC mobile tower...I know, I put them there. ;)

Gotchya.

An interesting note to go along with this. A few years ago I was camping out at a Lake over a Canada Day weekend not far from where I'm at. Sitting on the shoreline doing a bit of fishing, I could hear some jets off in the distance, but it was a different sound. After a bit of scoping out the skies, I spotted the 2 planes off in the distance flying beside each other. I looked to my radio and decided to turn on my air frequencies and low and behold, here it was 2 snowbirds flying towards Ottawa and I just happen to ping them off in the radio. Was a nice random catch for me that day. :p

Right on, good catch! FWIW, we used to do the Ottawa airshow out at the Carp airport using the same mobile tower. No Snowbirds there as it wasn't timed to be on the Canada Day weekend. I've driven this topic way off the road... we now return you to the Snowbirds conversation!

I have heard them use 116 and 333.3 while intransit from one city to another or on arrival into an area, they talk a lot on these two frequencies. 116 is used a lot at airshows for plane to plane comms.

333.3 kinda rings a bell to me, but then it could've been any of the frequencies that I had listed. But that's what they were doing the ones I saw. They were just in transit and the 2 pilots were just chatting the whole way flying beside each other.
It's nice that they're giving us a heads up as to locations and times via their facebook page I believe.

Couple more frequencies I found in my notes, 246.5, 246.6 and 289.4. Not sure if they are still in use but I had them confirmed at the time I logged them.

The lead is always going to be in contact with the ATC unit controlling that particular airspace.

Believe they were in Nova Scotia today according to their Twitter. Wonder why they don't just release a full scheduale.
