How is everyone fairing in NC with winter storm PAX? Freezing rain is the problem in N GA. At least 90% of the fools that were out last time stayed home

about 5 inches of snow in Concord. Now sleet falling for the rest of the night....nasty out there...

It started snowing in Greensboro about 12:30 PM, and in Rockingham County about 1:15 PM. In Northern Rockingham County, about five miles south of the Virginia state line, we have a little over six inches, and it's still snowing mixed with sleet.
To stay on topic, Rockingham County Sheriff's Department is utilizing their old UHF radios for some car-to-car traffic, to free up the dispatch channel on the 800 MHz VIPER system.
One of the county volunteer fire departments was also using their old low-band radios to communicate between the trucks.
There have been no issues with the VIPER system in this area, thus far.

Didn't Charlotte learn from Atlanta?

Wx Channel showing how bad the snow was in Charlotte. I guess they didn't believe the governor either No traffic jams today in the metro ATL. Just a lot of mess from the freezing rain.
