I was driving the work truck to check out whatever was left (and still smoking) bar that burnt down last night here in Medicine Hat and as I turned around I saw the biggest "fireball" I've ever seen in the sky to the north. My partner and I both saw it. Whatever it was was clearly on fire as I could see the flames streaking down from the sky. It lit up the sky and was a sorta green/orange colour before it burnt out as it may have hit the ground. The news says people from as far as Lethbridge to Calgary all the way to Edmonton saw it, it was also apparently seen in Saskatoon. Its reported that its most likely a meteorite and that possible hit somewhere south of Calgary and north of here but its too early to say for sure.
