So I'm Getting A Pro-96

I've decided to spend the money and get a Pro-96 - Its about 2 months old and getting it at a good price.

Just curious what do I need to do with this scanner as into programming wise to pickup KSP?

Any particular settings?

I'm in Post 4 area.

Just plug in the frequencies and leave the channel 'mode' settings at FM and you'll be all set.

I had no problem monitoring post 15 when I was down there this past week.

Congrats John! You'll love the PRO 96.... it is really good with KSP.... there are a few of us around your area who will send you .p96 loads if you want, just ask!

The programming cable doesn't come with this deal.... Will I need that?

I live in Custer in Breckinridge County and the transmitter is in contstantine which is about 3 miles from me.

Is that the frequency that I plug in...

I would recommend buying WIN 96 and one of the programming cables.... The 96 is a good radio but it will drive you batty trying to program by hand (my hands still throb sometimes frommy intial excursion with a PRO 95). With WIN 96 you can update your freq loads as often as needed, you can send and receive different vscanner folders with other scannists and you can keep back-ups of everything....
You will have a lot of fun with your new radio....
