Can you add a new method call to the SOAP interface to query Metro areas by state id?

I'm designing a query interface for sdrtrunk to access trunked systems and frequencies that allows the user to drill down by country, state, and county.

I want to add metro areas that correspond to the selected state, but there's no SOAP method that makes this easy. I can query for the full list of MetroArea and then in turn query the MetroAreaInfo for each MetroArea and then cache the results so that I can match the StateInfo counties list to each of the corresponding MetroAreaInfo counties. However, this call to query and cache the MetroAreaInfos is a bit expensive (30+ seconds on my machine/network).
