I'd be surprised if they even had radios at Soaring Eagle Casino. That place is a dump!

A little of topic, but in the movie Reindeer Games, if that really was a casino in Michigan, which one was it?

Soaring Eagle

They have lot's of radios that operate in conventional mode. Odd you thought it was a dump, wasn't a bd place last time I was there in July. But the food choices were lacking compared to the new casino at exit 1 off of I-94.

The last two times the wife and I were there it seems one out of five chairs had cigarette burn holes in them. All the chairs, and carpet were visibly dirty. The ashtrays were full and smelled. The slot machines were greasy. Drink glasses were sitting all around. For all the money they pull in, they can afford to hire enough people to keep the place clean.

I usually go to Windsor and there's no comparison. It's always immaculate.

On the Reindeer Games, movie:
The movie was supposed to be set in the Upper Peninsula, but I think most of the on-site work was done in Canada. I think most of the towns mentioned were fictitious as well.

On the various casinos:
I have found Soaring eagle to vary widely. Sometimes the crap is picked up and sometimes not.

The Four Winds (new one at exit 1 of I-94) seems to be setting a new standard. Food is great, place is clean, and I've seen them wiping down the slot machines with something that smelled like bleach, if you get to one right after they've done it.
