I'm new to downloading some of the soft ware here on the radio RR but how exactly does that work and what all does it do, do you have to have a cable from the computer to your scanner? and some of the other downloads here on the site?

To be honest i have had my scanners for about 2 years, and i just plug in the frequency i dont really mess with all of the truncking, but now i have to because the citys around me use it, i use to litsen to san antonio but i never pluged in any talk groups or ids i just montiored Ne sa because it was easy and it followed almost everything on the NE side, man those were the good old days  I'm going to buy a pro-96 in about a week so i can litsen to randolph A.F.B. And when i go to Austin i will plug there frequency in. I guess i should have got the experince in pluging in id's it would have been alot more fun.

I know the pro 96 has 9600 baud but does it cover 3600 to ? Well everyone im sorry for all the dumb post i have put up and all of the stupid questions i just need help with these questions and maybe i will understand it more thanks for your time and understanding

The PRO-96 includes the Austin/Travis county system in one of the V-Folders. You will have to take a few minutes to read the steps in the manual to load the folder into the radio's active set of banks. Don't know if Randolph is on there. The same V-folder includes San Antonio, Houston's STAR-NET, and neighboring counties.

Yes.
