Hello, I have a older Uniden 780 and would like to use the computer to load it. I am looking for recommendation on what people use for software. Any help would be great.

Problem is, I don't believe it's web-service capable. However ProScan is...and unlike ARC780, it undergoes constant improvements.

best regards..Mike

That's a question better asked in our software forum - where Bob is more likely to see, and respond to, it. It's likely he can solve your issue...best regards..Mike

Yes. The 30 day demo is fully functional.

Basic steps:
1) Open or create a new database.
2) Click on Import - RR.
3) Enter your login info.
4) Choose the Country, State, County, etc...
5) Click on Retrieve Data.
6) Select the Site and Groups you want.

The 780 is limited in memory so you can only import 100 TGID's at a time and 50 frequencies at a time. For more TGID's, import again, choosing a different bank.

Does ProScan work to pull info off the RR database in demo mode?

I couldnt get it to work with my BC780 about a week ago.

Keep in mind that the uniden 780xlt is VERY easy to program by hand! You're only talking about 500 channels also.
