1st post on RR, hope I'm in the right place for this. If not, can someone point me in the right direction? Would anyone happen to know if anyone, anywhere has written software for the Optocom receiver, that supports rebanding? It's a good piece of equipment and I'd hate to see it become useless because of lack of available software. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Spyke

Very doubtful - the Optocom went out of production many many years ago. It's still a very fine conventional and milair scanner, however 73 Mike

Nope....won't do it.

Not all is lost, As long as you are not listening to digital or Moto digital trunked systems all will be well. Still use my Opto most every day for EDACS and aviation.

Is there a chance that Unitrunker would work if you had a dedicated/cheap receiver decoding the control channel and controlling the Optocom?
There is an Opto and Optocomm option under receivers but not sure how it works on re banding.
No system near me has re banded yet.
