Has anyone using Windows 10 had a successful firmware upgrade ? Did you install the Usb driver to do this.

No issue, installed driver day 1 for other software to function.

Firmware upgrade

Ok....did the USB driver install that went ok. Now trying to do the firmware upgrade and i get "Internet access failed",unable to connect to the remote sever. Now what. The installer is version 3.03 revision 00.

Check your firewall settings...

Firmware update

Tried turning off the firewall and also tried to ping ftp.uniden.com and I am getting request timed out. This is on a window 10 pc. Paul are you out there.

Firmware update

I finally figured it out. It was the Comcast modem. They use Typical setting and it blocks FTP. Just go to the low setting and it works. Maybe they could put a sticky on this. This is one great scanner .

firmware upgrade

after some thought got it done, no where does it give a blow by blow how to do the install, but with some computer knowledge figured it out, but what do expect from a newbie, just starting off in the scanner world, some much to read and learn just over whelming
