It's really kludgy. You have to swap the SD card back and forth and import export CSV files.

Do a search - there has been very detailed threads about what's available and the plus or minus of each package.

Had some problems with the ARC30 and ended up with RT Systems. I use ARC for most of my other scanners, but had issues in transferring from computer to the IC-R30.

Thanks. Am seeing the RT system software at $98 bucks. Sound about right? With RT, does entries write direct to the radio? Thanks.

I went back 3 pages to see If I could find something. Figured it would be worth asking in case something new came out.

The RT software writes directly to the radio and you can back up the files to the SD card in the radio. I actually tried all four available and was very unhappy with the first three and bit the bullet and bought the RT version. I never regretted the decision because it works like I expect RT software to work.

I have worked with RT Systems and ended up just working with a .csv and loading it to the SD card, then bringing it into memory.
