• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Serious. I brought my recently bought Radio Shack PRO-94 Scanner over to a friends house. We were going out for a while so I left the scanner at his house. We came back and I noticed Bite marks in my Rubber ducky antenna. his sister, brother, and 2 dogs 2 cats were there. At first I thought his cat or dog might've done it but, they're human teeth marks. This won't affect any receving capabilites right?

Many moons ago, I had a beagle pup who at the time of her infancy, completely la-machined the case and microphone of an MT500. Her teeth were like tiny razors and could pulverize a leather belt in seconds.
Our new barn kittens love playing with the old retired rubber ducky antennas from radios passed on to the parts bin.
