Somerset County P25 - Need a favor...

Guys,

Can someone run UniTrunker or Pro96Com on the UHF site of Somerset County & reply back with the active alternate control channels?

I've updated the DB with the true list of 10 frequencies used on that site, but I need updated alternates.

RR now shows these as the UHF channels:

476.0125 476.0625a 500.6125 500.8875c 501.9125 502.5125 502.5375
502.550 502.6125 502.8375

these are pretty much mostly changed from what the current sentinel has listed. are you saying the current sentinel listing is wrong???

Yes I am. I got the proper site list from a trusted source, but I'm too far away from the system to listen to the control channel to find out what it's ID'ing as the alternate controls.

I'm currently seeing active control channel on 500.8875 and alternates of 476.0625, 500.3375, & 502.8375.

Therein lies the issue - 500.3375 is no longer part of the system...

Since your post I purged the system and started monitoring fresh. Now seeing 500.8875 as active and 476.0625 & 502.8375 as alternates, no fourth. So 500.3375 must have been old and Unitrunker did not update (remove) its alternate control channel flag.

Let me have this run overnight and I'll PM you the results sometime tomorrow -- it's still rebuilding the channel list. It shouldn't have any impact on the control channels but who knows...

Excellent, thanks! The info I got showed the actual LCN order that the channels are in the site controller & the 8th-10th are the only ones flagged for TDMA operation.

So 500.3375 must have been old and Unitrunker did not update (remove) its alternate control channel flag.

You can use the channel hit counter and last-seen time stamp to infer that a channel is no longer in use.
