Somerset County TRS question...

Looking at the talkgroups in the database, can someone tell me what the difference is between the following talkgroups (my guess in parentheses):

PS INTEROP (pd/fire/ems common?)
COUNTY ALARMS (use by PDs to transmit things such as stolen vehs...similar to MIRS in Morris County)
INTERCOUNTY HOTLINE (Somerset to Morris, etc.)

Yep, you've just about got them right. The COUNTY ALARMS channel is primarily county making announcements of a county alarm & the alarm number to the few independent PSP's left in the county, and them responding back that they received it.

Anybody have a BCD996XT and having issues monitoring the Somerset P25 UHF system?

It works fine on the 436HP but keeps cutting out on the 996 constantly. Can barely hear any talk. Priority mode is off. This is only the second day I've seen any issues.

Ever since I've gotten my Pro-668 I've had nothing but issues picking up certain talkgroups on the Somerset County Talkgroup. Same really goes for the NJICS talkgroup as well. Like Elizabeth's Phase 2 talkgroup. I get it sometimes and sometimes it's garbled or broken up.

The bcd436hp by in large decodes both phase 1 and 2 better then any other scanner on the market in my opinion that is.
