Station 51,
Where did you happen to nab this? I see it is the Travis Co. STARFlight but, that doesn't look like CTMC (the hospital in SM- also your new locale). Was this in S. Austin? Also, do you know the freq these guys operate on in Travis Co.?

This was this morning on the CTMC pad. All the little people in the background had to clear the pad so that the Travis County ship could land. I'm guessing that all the kids were on some kind of a field trip because they had been getting a tour of the LifeTeam chopper prior to the Travis landing.
I went over and spoke with the crew who said that they (Travis County) had come to CTMC to transport a baby.
The only air to ground communications that I have heard was a week ago when they were bringing in a patient that had his/her fingers amputated. That traffic was on the Hays County LCRA sys on "CTMC"
"368 02-140 A CTMC CTMC-Central Texas Medical Center - Amb to Hospital Hospital "I've heard ground ambulance to hosp comms on this too.

Here's more pics!

Awesome grab. Station what side of town are you on? I'm on the backside of campus near the water tower. I couldn't tell this was CTMC, I did my clinicals there, and rode out with SM/HCEMS.

I like the last pic of the two helos on the pad with the medic rollin' in code 3.

Do you work at or near CTMC Station?

I spend probably too much time in the area of CTMC! Since I'm so close I have started listening to EMS communications. All my radio life I always listened to various branches of law enforcement or FIRE during brush fire season. This weekend alone I learned that "deer" are a real problem here in terms of vehicles crashing into them! Now I get the whole grill guard thing! Grill guards as a "fashion" faded out in California back in the 90's, but here even the ambulances have them! Crazy!
