Hello all I live in small town USA Vernon, TX where our PD has been using VHF P25 conventional Kenwood radios however I noticed in last weeks paper the PD was approved to buy 25 new Motorola radios and I heard radio service doing some radio checks and a lot of repeater squelches. Now all weekend when while PD is talking every 2 seconds or so there is a quick squelch burst during the talking. My question is does this sound like they are prepping to go either phase 2 or poss encrypted?
