Something off with location/range on my SDS 100?

I figured I'd post here as locals will know the geography. I currently have the scanners GPS location set for my house in Park City with a range of 20 miles. I happen to get the Salt Lake County Simulcast site with full bars, but when scanning the UCA system from the full database (which I updated yesterday) on that site, the TG's I hear are almost always from Summit or Wasatch Counties. Scanning that site I'd expect to hear all kinds of stuff from the valley. Am I missing something here?

Also, the Peak Wireless Services system is showing in the scanner full database, but not their DFA system. Could that have something to do with how it's entered in the RR database? I'd love to do a discovery search on their DFA system.

First check the sites you're trying to monitor to see if there's any error for their coordinates in the RRDB. Then check the locations and ranges for each Department that you expect to hear. A frustration with Uniden scanners (and perhaps others) is that they will exclude departments that aren't listed in range. I change the coordinates of every department to those for the whole state of Utah (center of state with large range). That way I hear any traffic that gets broadcast on the sites I can monitor (such as SLC traffic that occasionally reaches Moab). ProScan has a Search & Replace feature that lets me do that for all UCA and Peak departments. With Sentinel you'd have to change each department individually.

I was going to suggest what @theaton said. I have done pretty much the same as he mentioned, but I got all fancy by converting location data to rectangles. All departments have the same coordinates and my actual location determines which sites are scanned.
