Anyone else used the Sony made scanner, specificly designed for primarily Aeronautical scanning? Works great but the super long bnc ant is a pita sometimes. Though I did find it works bretty good on VHF Hi too.

This the one that's been out a decade or so? I had one for awhile, liked some of it's features, and it's layout, but opted for something else. I think this was about the time I found amateur radio gear built for the band I wanted to listen to was more my liking..

Older scanner model

I had one of those in the late 1980's. It was great before the use of 800Mhz in S Florida. I liked the option of listening to AM/FM radio. Mine fizzled out after a couple of years. I bought it from Sporty's Pilot Shop - Ohio.
