sound glitch

I'm very new to posting to forums and this new bcd396xt uniden scanner (Tuesday). when listening to any of my channels there is a glitch in the sound, like a bland space, it's almost every 6 seconds...Any ideas on what I can do/or what it is?? It does it on the FM stations also..it's not interference, I've moved it all over the place :-(

Welcome to the group. What you are describing sounds like priority or close-call sampling. This causes a space/interruption in what you are listening to. Go to menu and make sure your priority, weather priority, and close call priority are all off.
