Sounds off Freq on my 436

What would cause my local police to sound a tad off frequency yet all other agencies and locals and State PD sound fine.?

Hi,
Maybe check FM vs NFM as the mode for that particular freq?
It may sound like you explain if you listen to an FM freq in NFM mode ---if you're referring to a conventional freq, that is---

Since everything else sounds right, maybe their repeater is just a bit off frequency.
