Here's a project I've been working on in my head for sometime
and I finally started putting the "rubber to the road" today.
It's an interactive map I made of South Alabama Public Safety Repeaters
and their locations & frequencies. It started with me seeing
the coverage of Pensacola's trunked system and where the
towers are (for antenna aiming) and it went from there. Ultimately,
it will be an interactive map posted on the
website where you can full fcc data for that location by clicking
on the related tower.

If you have any suggestions or comments, send them my way.
I know I'm finding it useful just for reception purposes.

Here's the link to the screen shot

Nice job, Jason. Is the State DPS still using the VHF equipment in Orange Beach on 158.790 or is that one disassembled, now? It's still listed as active in the FCC database as WYQ453, but before we had to leave for Wisconsin on the medical emergency, I had not heard that transmitter in quite some time... ???

If I remember correctly, that was located just north of the eastbound approach to the Perdido Pass Bridge back behind the gift shop - on Alabama Point. http://www.topozone.com/map.asp?latd=30&latm=16&lats=44.7&lond=87&lonm=33&lons=21.9&datum=NAD83&u=6
