The SBRPCA will be narrowbanding on April 30th. Along with this there will be new channel line up and naming convention, most frequencies will become DPL, and while 3 new tac frequencies will be formally rolled out also.

The tentative planned channel line up will be as follows:

1 – 470.6375 – 131DPL – Manhattan & Hermosa Beach PD Dispatch
2 – 470.3875 – 245DPL – Hawthorne PD Dispatch
3 – 470.0125 – 371DPL – Gardena PD Dispatch
4 – 471.3375 – 85.4PL – El Segundo PD Dispatch
5 – 506.0125 – 156DPL – Fire Dispatch
6 – 506.0375 – 261DPL – Fire Dispatch Alternate/Command
7 – 472.5375 – 103.5PL – El Segundo Fire Tac
8 – 471.1125 – 411DPL – Tac 4
9 – 470.3125 – 532DPL – Tac 5
10- 470.0375 – 654DPL – Tac 6
11– 470.8125 – 331DPL – Tac 7
12– 506.5250 – 731DPL – Tac 8 – mobile only
13– 506.5500 - 465DPL – Tac 9 – mobile only
14– 506.6750 – 754DPL – Tac 10 – mobile only
15– 470.1875 – 516DPL – Hermosa Beach PD Dispatch weekends/special events
16– 482.4250 – 79.7PL – Fire RIC – mobile only (frequency shared with Torrance).

Note – the Tac's may now be utilized by both police & fire.

Sounds like they are still using the old PLs. Anyone know what happened?

I did notice however they have had an open carrier on two of the Tacs intermittently, so maybe they are working on things.

Seems some changes might have occurred as one unit yesterday had a hard time finding Tac-6.

I've also heard an intermittent open carrier on what will be the Gardena dispatch channel.

Due to multiple technical issues sounds like the delayed narrow banding will finally take place by late October.

The switch over took place last night. Now utilizing new DPLs and channel line up.

I believe 470.0125 is technically the Gardena PD channel, however due to ongoing open carrier on 470.0125 its using one of the Tac's for dispatching.

I have not seen a note yet that the channels have formally been swapped.
