While I live in North Summit, I try and listen to a few Cuyahoga fire departments.
It seems as though most have moved to the Cleveland system or Marcs, but there are a couple of holdouts.
Of most interest to me is Oakwood Village, that responds to Walton hills and Glenwillow.
I do hear them (most of the time) on 424.225, but it is sometimes very noisy.
Does anyone know the REAL location of repeater they are using?
FCC said that there still a couple folks that have the channel, Maple Hts and Bedford Hts, however not Oakwood.
I don't quite understand this, but I do hear Oakwood fire traffic on the channel, but would like to know
who's repeater they are using, so that I might point a yagi at it.

Thanks,
Don

I think it may be at 5800 STERLING AVE MAPLE HEIGHTS, OH but I could be wrong.

I think that's Northcoast. They moved the shop but they were there originally and that's the tower they used for many systems.
I did work on Oakwood back in the day and I remember a female Lt was not pleased with me because I couldn't fix their problem on-site and had to take the radio to the shop. I fixed and returned it next day - but always watched my speed in Oakwood! :)
Ed Spehar and I worked at Electrocomm a while too back in the day,,,(FWIW)

Thanks, R, I mean ED. ;-}

I talked to Ed Speher a year or so ago. Sounded like he was still in the shop in Maple..
