Is there something missing from the Klickitat and Skamania County databases? Because if there is, chances are someone hasn't found the missing data and they haven't been submitted, or both databases aren't up to date. Is there something you are specifically trying to find?

I saw some of the threads reference "user requests" for lack of a better term.

What are the chances this site might be able to jack in Skamania & Klickitat frequencies?

Can you be more specific? Are you asking if someone can provide scanner feeds for Klickitat and Skamania counties? Or are there frequencies that are not listed in the database?

As far as scanner feeds, it depends on if there is anyone within the coverage area of the transmitters/repeaters whether or not they could be convinced to stream their audio on the radioreference platform. As far as frequencies being added to the database, it depends on submissions being made by users.

Joe hit the nail on the head here, if you don't submit it, you will not see it here, we will not harvest data from different site's and that does include the FCC database. Everything you see here is user submitted info.

Yep, it'll be here as users submit it. Even it's the undercover drug channel or used by swat. It'll be posted with no disregard to officer safety.

Your post doesn't even parse logically.

If the people responsible for ensuring the security of their tactical communications have not yet learned that anyone with a few parts, some know-how, and the will to do so can listen to their radio communications, that is not the fault of the site, the database administrators, or the users that submit the data.

Also, with the exception of low power itinerant frequencies, all "private" (i.e. non-federal government) frequency allocations are published by the Federal Communications Commission, so many times all you need is a lucky catch on a known frequency.

Strong encryption isn't that expensive any more. It is hard to manage if you don't have someone directly responsible for it, but if the communications are that sensitive they should be encrypted. Period.

The reality is this: unencrypted voice communications in the public-safety bands are fair game for reception. It doesn't matter if they're in the database here or not, regardless, the frequencies are known, or can be discovered relatively quickly.

I agree with you Joe, with one exception. If I am listening to a particular channel and hear what appears to be undercover use, then I would NEVER publish that. Some of these small departments cannot afford P25, let alone encryption.

The individual listener should have some sense NOT to add it to a database.

I didn't catch my wording above. Should read with no regard to officer safety. Sorry about that.
