Southbury is P25 now, not sure if you know that or not. If you do, then my apologies.

Well. Rats.

Thanks for the info.
They aren't encrypted though however which is good news. If you're tech savvy at all definitely look into RTL-SDR if you need a new receiver. It's a fraction of the price of a digital-capable scanner, just more difficult to setup and use. RTL SDR v3 or v4 is what I'd recommend. If you want to also scan the CLMRN you'll need two dongles for it to receive effectively. I personally use DSD Plus Fastlane, but there is other software out there such as SDRTrunk. I hope this helps!

Thanks. I just bought a GMRS HT that has expanded receive ability. I thought I'd add the FD. I'm mostly interested in my own town at this point.

Not to mention if you picked up a digital receiver, you'd be able to monitor the PD on 155.0325.
However there still is several analog in use, the ambulance 155.0625, Heritage Village ambulance 151.925, Train School fire 151.055, etc.

Ok. I think STS FD is no more. Same with HV EMS.

Current, both have been gone for over a year, at least. My understanding is Southbury Ambulance added additional crews to take up the additional volume that those two would have otherwise handled

At least now the unit 2 vs alpha 2 confusion is gone. However I feel like the way cmed is done is just old practice carried through time that is antiquated and unnecessary in 2025.
Interesting you say that, I was talking to a Bridgeport PD dispatcher the other day and she said SW cmed is shutting down.
I do think its time for some mergers/regionalization but i know how departments in CT hate those words

I haven't caught any wind of that myself, but I don't disagree on the regionalization topic.
