Folks,

I did a ton of updates to So Cal all day today.. .cleanups, tags, organization, you name it.

See something wrong? Incorrect? Bad Service Tag? Better Alpha Tag suggestion? Something missing. Please send it along to the admin staff (don't post in this thread please use the db submission interface at the top (Top Left - Submit Info)

Thanks!!

This seems like a lot of work for the admins. Have you considered opening up the database so that anyone can make edits? You know - wiki-style?

SoCal cleanups

I saw the cleaned up So Cal listings before I saw your post so I can see it was a LOT of work! Well, I appreciate it anyway! I did see some errors (minor) and will try and submit some observations soon. I do have some updated frequency info also (from actual listening) concerning the Cleveland National Forest repeater inputs and some Cleveland NF and San Bernardino NF UHF link frequencies (again, verified by listening on multiple different receivers) so I'll include those as well.

As to making it like a wiki as peepoop said...well, personally I would go the other direction if I "had my druthers"! One person controlling all content per region (I think RR currently allows more than one?!) to facilitate more uniform and controlled content. But, for a volunteer operation that would likely be impractical! It IS a lot of work, anyone can see that! But opening it all up to work as a public wiki would, I think, lead to chaos and I truly think the reliability of the information would suffer. As it is, these folks do a pretty good job of filtering the submissions and I think it should stay that way! As I said, I would even prefer a more Draconian approach but, unless the folks get a lot of monetary compensation (which they don't), well, they gotta have lives!;-)

Thanks Mike,

Yes, it is important to realize that the database is a very structured environment, so we must have an admin approach to managing the data.

Hello on San Bernardino County system 6/7 you have 3784 as W FD Dispatch which it should be 3984
Also you might want to add 6032 which is Fire command 1 from system 9 and 5936 which is Fire Command 2 from system 9.

He didn't want submissions in this thread. Submit it to the DB and someone will get to it.
