Does anyone use MURS in the Los Angeles Area ? Im looking to start a radio talk group on MURS. 2,,,,

There are already people on the MURS channels .Lots of time they have echo mics ON.

Maybe its MURS3 or MURS1 that I hear it on.

I often MURS base stations on 151.820 and 151.880
They're scratchy at my listening post and presumed to be coming from the LA area.

I travel with MURS 1 turned on, most of the time. I live in the Ventura County area - and never hear anyone on it. My family uses it as a biking/traveling channel.

I hear some low power grandfathered schools on the MURS freqs. I also hear high powered mobiles squashing people on 151.880
This is in the SFV. I haven't heard anyone using it for personal use legally.

Local group already on a couple MURS channels... LOUD AND CLEAR through most of the LA basin... sounds like at least one is running a bit of power and/or up on a high point. Mostly just mindless BS, profanity, and typical high school age garbage talk. Definitely not grandfathers businesses. Almost daily BS.

Which freq are they on? Do you hear an older guy on that sounds like a trucker? PM me if you prefer.
