Has CHP So. Div Blue 3 replaced Blue 2, or are both in use? I see both designations are listed in the database. I heard the traffic yesterday during the chase/shooting on the 60 fwy, and it was on Blue 3.

Thanks in advance....

During Obama's last visit to LA in June, I noted both were in use.

I also believe I heard SigAlert info on Blue-2 as recently as couple weeks ago.

It was changed to Blue (3) 45.42, PL136.5 a few months back, when the White, Yellow, Orange, and Border Purple changed PL tones.

I have been trying to catch up with the changes in the south, Seems everytime I change the freq's, they go somewhere else with them, I listen to mostly Santa Fe Springs and Torrance service areas, half the time I'm never in the right Freq groups. PITA.

tkenny53:

The Torrance office is called South Los Angeles and it only changed its PL to 192.8; Santa Fe Springs made no recent changes.

Yes I know the Db has two PL's. And both indeed were in use.

Blue-2 and Blue-3 were used by the Guardian units.
