I've thought about making a southern/ southwest Indiana road trip this weekend to check out some DNR parks and waterfalls. I bought an annual DNR admission pass, and might as well get some use out of it. I'll be bringing DSD+ along to check out the Duke Energy system and sites.

Does anyone know of any other systems, sites, or frequencies that need updated?

There is a large Duke power plant in Gibson County (Gibson Generating Station) with five generating units. There is also a Field Office with a lot of Duke Equipment in Princeton (tall guy wire tower)(Gibson County). I don’t know if RR info is correct as I don’t have a radio capable of hearing Duke.

Yea, that was from the info I gathered on my roadtrip. The Duke system is not able to be monitored on any scanners at this time. To the best of my knowledge no TGs have been seen in use on any of the Duke sites in Indiana or Ohio.

thanks

Yes. No scanner or pager can decode TDMA CC's.

I programmed the Vincennes, Princeton, and Edwardsport sites into my BCD325P2. I was able to pick up the control channels but my scanner couldn’t decode the TDMA data stream. When the scanner didn’t work I saw the mention about TDMA control channel. I tried programming the frequencies as P25 conventional. I haven’t heard any traffic or transmission (digital noise) except on the control channel digital noise.

I wonder if Uniden will update their firmware so TDMA control channel trunk systems can be monitored.

I found these frequencies listed with Oakland City Site FCC license showing frequencies for Princeton site. I can verify digital noise on the control channel frequency.

Duke Energy Princeton Site
855.28750 CC
855.86250
856.33750

ok thanks we must have 2 sep systems here. THe plant that is where close to wabash river(they call princeton)? this what you found? However RRDB posted this past sunday show 3 dif freq and they are on the oakland city tower?
Two completely dif trunked systems? One or both are TDMA CC?

Here is what I am asking

I think this is above is the plant they call princeton?RRDB shows LTR My guess it has been updated to TDMA CC P25 freq you show?Do I have any of this right?

Correct, Gibson Generating Station has a UHF system. I’ve never tried to monitor Gibson Generating Station but the database list several different emission designators so I’m not sure which are in use.

Here are the Frequencies listed for Gibson Generating coal fired Power Plant.

451.075, 451.175, 451.250, 451.475, 451.675, 452.650

The Frequencies I posted for Princeton are the P25 800 frequencies used by Duke line and service trucks. There is a Duke Energy base on State Road 64 on the west side of Princeton. I feel sure the 800 frequencies I posted are for the radio site on the new Duke P25 system located at this Princeton service location.

Ok I am getting close on this I THINK.You tested the princeton site? There is alos a OAKland city site that made it into RRDB I guess they now need to add the Princeton site also.

For some reason the data base didn’t list the Princeton Site. While looking at the Oakland City info in the data base I found the info for the Princeton site. As of right now the Power Plant at Princeton uses a separate radio system than the rest of Duke line crews and service personnel which the new P25 system.

The Princeton site (Site 50) isn't listed in the RRDB, because I missed it in my travels.

I’m getting digital noise which I believe is the control channel on 855.2875 for the Princeton site as 08-12-2021.
