Anyone know if Southold Town Police 8-0-0 has a new UHF freq used for paging, as low band is going away? I see some UHF freqs in FCC assigned to Southold Town Police, wasn't sure if any were confirmed. I see all the FD's in the township have their own UHF freqs.

I did some pager programming for a department last year who wanted 482.9500 PL 71.9 setup as one of the dispatching frequencies. I'm told this is the Southold PD FD Dispatching freq. I can't confirm if this is in use.

This site has 454.250 listed as Southold Town paging, but I cannot confirm. I still hear tone outs on low band, so maybe they haven't switched yet. 454 looks odd to me, maybe its supposed to be 453.250, which would be shared with Southampton Town Ems Paging. Maybe they decided to share being that SHT Ems isn't too busy & lack of freqs available? Not sure.

Who knows. But in my 25 years experience, I’ve never seen a fire/ems agency use 454mhz for public safety paging.

I modified some programming for a department that is using the new Southold Frequency back in May. They did not request a PL/DPL code in their programming, so they might be CSQ.

My assumption is that the depts will have FRES East and this Southold Paging freq in their pagers. I wonder if the dept base stations will be allowed to activate on the township paging freq.
