At approximately 2225 last night 05/07/2012, SouthSTAR reported to REMCS that it was struck by an extremely bright laser approx 2 miles NE of Cooper Trauma. It occurred while SouthSTAR was lifting from Cooper and sounded like there was no patient on-board at the time of the laser incident and that the pilot was leaving the crew at Cooper to go for fuel and come back for them. Thankfully no one was injured and nothing happened to SouthSTAR in this incident
