Periodically, I hear Southwest Fire toning out a fire call, sounds as if it's in the OKC area. A quick check of the db and a Google search didn't turn up anything useful, anybody have any details on this group? I believe it's on 154.130 MHz, but might have been on 154.400 MHz, I never seem to be near the radio when I hear them.

Thanks,
Mark

Mark--

I believe you are referring to "Southwest Lincoln County Volunteer Fire." It is a small district located in the southwest corner of Lincoln County (I guess that would explain the name:)).

They are dispatched by the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office on the Lincoln County fire repeater -- 154.400MHz. They also can use State Fire -- 154.130MHz and Oklahoma County -- 154.370MHz.

I can't remeber the exact location, but I have seen their fire station, a large metal building on an unpaved rural road. I think it is on Hefner or Britton Road a couple of miles east of the Lincoln/Oklahoma County line.

Thanks, Chris. All I knew about them was their ID on the radio, "Southwest Fire".
