Probably wouldn't have noticed had it not been for traffic on the system being repeated on FOX 4 news desk frequency (450.3125) and several TXDPS frequencies on Tuesday night, Wedensday morning. That incident still remains a mystery, but to whoever was responsible, thanks for the heads up! Two control channels are still transmitting, but the four using agencies are in conventional repeater mode:
DeSoto PD is on: 453.3625 131.8
Cedar Hill PD is on: 460.0375 131.8
Regional Fire is on: 460.2375 131.8
Duncanville PD is on: 453.3125 131.8 and simulcasting on 158.7900 114.8
Control channels still up on: 453.5875 & 460.4625
MDCs on 460.2875 & 460.3125
Word on the street is that the system didn't pass final inspection and is being scrapped in favor of another unproven and non-interoperable Kenwood digital system. You would have throught they had learned their lesson.
