"SP" units? Who are they?

Wyoming has "Wyoming Highway Patrol" and their units are designated as "Pat ##". I believe SP is State Parks.

FWIW, I've only heard the HP use a radio number, example: "142 to Cheyenne" etc

It's State Parks. I hear them all the time and have some Talk Group IDs in my scanner.

True. But, other agencies such as P.D. and S.O., refer to them as "PAT" units. - Tom

Up your way that's the case. Never heard them referred that way in the southern/i80 corridor.
