Space Shuttle Atlantis launch on 259.7 Mhz AM primary downlink freq...had four mins of strong audio direct from the shuttle during launch, standing in my backyard holding an Icom R-10 handheld with a rubber duck antenna.....from T+4 to T+8 mins...."Press to MECO" the strongest transmission just above/offshore the coast here.....priceless !
