Does anyone know the freqs used by the Shuttle directly to a downlink station? When the Shuttle is over the U.S. we should have good line of sight reception.

I have seen all the freqs used by ARRL for re-broadcast, but what are the freqs used other than for re-broadcast?

Also....what is a good freq for re-broadcast in West Tennessee?

Thanks

The space shuttle transmits to TDRS satellites that are in geosyncronis
orbit around the earth. The satellites relay those to Houston and vice versa.
Vary rarely do they communicate directly with the ground, but on approach
to landing they are in communication using uhf freqs.

Right here...
And a post script to Danny's TDRS comment...
Voice and video are carried over S and Ku bands and are Phase Modulated so are not monitorable.
