At this writing, Seattle PD radio dispatch is "evacuating" to a backup "facility?"

They are using portable radios at this time.

It's unclear if people are moving to another physical location, or if they are moving to an alternative communication infrastructure, or both.....

Dispatch will now be on site trunking. All mobile and portable radios are to remain on their own precinct "channels."

I have no idea what that means, but dispatch voices are noticeably stressed (as in stressed out).

Things seem back to normal now. Radio is no longer on "priority-only" and voices sound much less stressed and they seem to have "console" info again. Dispatch is also able to send information to terminals in patrol vehicles.

Well, that took a long time. Dispatch is no longer "on trunking." I have no idea what that means; then again, the vast majority of dispatchers and officers still refer to their "channels" as" frequencies" and only occasionally "talk groups."
