Speaker with Remote

I have a BCD996XT with a regular 4" external speaker on my desk. Unfortunately, it is
across the room.

I'm wondering if they make anything I could hook up to the scanner and adjust
the sound with a remote, maybe some sort of powered speaker w/remote.

I suppose it would easier going through the computer but I'd rather not.

Either that or a Bluetooth transmitter and any Bluetooth receiver. Cost is probably close either way, unless you already have a Bluetooth receiver to dedicate.

The linked speaker has Bluetooth and 3.5mm wired inputs.

A 20 ohm potentiometer on or near the speaker. "Volume control".

Being older than dirt I'm not sure what bluetooth is, I'll ask my son.

Real busy right now but the first one takes batteries, my scanner is on 24/7.

If you plug it into a USB adapter, it will run on AC power. And another 24-30 hours on battery power if the power fails.
