Running a Motorola Spectra 110W vhf. I made the console myself, Could have been better if I had spent a little more time on it. wanted to make use of my mid console cd changer again.

I like that. Do you ground your mic at all then? What vehicle did this go into? Looks like plenty of room to work with, perhaps future projects.

Yeah the mic is grounded on the back side. Its in a 99 ford f-150 lariat. I used to have a havis shields console between the bucket seats with a vhf, uhf and 800 mounted in it. I wanted something a lot less noticable and easier to work with. I ran the control wire under the dash and in the door track to a spot under my rear bench seat so it wont be in the way.
