Spectrum Analysis Help

I recently purchased Trunkstar785d to use with my BC796d. It is a neat program but I am really fascinated by the Spectrum Analyzer and being a beginner I will like to understand what I am seeing a little better. Can someone explain what I am look at? I realize that where ever there is a spike it means that there is a signal and the higher the spike the stronger the signal. I was just wondering if there is anything I am missing that might be of use to me as a scanner person. The manual for Trunkstar785d is pretty worthless, so far I have found nothing that talks about the Frequency Analyzer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.--Gary

Nope, that's pretty much it.

Using the picture on the link you gave, there's a fairly decent signal at ~137.4 and probably signals at ~137.8 and ~137.9. There may also be signals at ~137.3 and 137.5, although the one at 137.3 could also be noise.

You'd have to check the book to see what the white and yellow markers (vertical lines) are.
