Last night, around 10:30, I hear a Loundon County Dispatcher come on and advise the deputies that a car traveling southbound on 75 just called in to THP and told them that someone she did not know just called her and told her that there was a bomb in her car and if she drove below 50 MPH her car would explode. Once in McMinn County, THP requested EMS and fire to meet them at the 42 off ramp, they were going to have the car pull over, but by the time they got to the interstate, the car had passed. They finally had McMinn EMS and Riceville Rural Fire apparatus caught up with the car in Bradley County, and troopers had the car pull over about the 22 mile marker. Pretty interesting listening, but no bomb, was probably a prank caller, had the interstate shut down for a while.
Agencies involved, that I heard, Loudon County SO, Monroe County SO, THP, Riceville Rural Fire Department, iCare EMS(McMinn), and Calhoun Rural Fire Department(they were paged out when the car passed the 42, but since Riceville was ahead of them they did went back to the station.)
