Does anyone know if the frequencies in the database for Spokane County is correct?

I will be traveling up to that from Oregon in a couple of weeks and would like
to be able to listen the activity in Spokane while I am in town.

Will be traveling Hwy 395. Anyone know any good freqs or channels to listen for. Not listening so I can speed, just would like to listen to how other agencies dispatch.

Any info would be great.. THANK YOU

Yeah, the freqs are accurate. It is a desert here on many levels, RF monitoring among them. A few chases a few fires but there news here is all traffic and waether. Pretty boring.

Here is another page that has alot of older freqs but most are still good. www.myscannerpage.com . I am not affliated with this page, but it has alot of industrial channels listed I am trying to verify and find tones for.

Everything here is plain voice except for dispo codes and some legal abbreviations. The sheriff uses 'signal 31'- car stop and thats about it for codes. No ultra cool 12 code like in Oregon. Not that you would speed but beware, WSP works 90 very dilligently here, I have been stopped for 5 mph over and warned. Beware. I would be very careful on I-90 East of MP 230 to the Idaho state line.

When listening to the Sheriffs office- 155.1300 is the City of Spokane Valley PD contract only and 154.74 is the rest of the county. Other smaller cities like Liberty lake, Airway Heights, Medical Lake etc are also dispatched on this channel as D8xx series units. Adam units are S/O day shift patrol, Baker is Night shift.

Anyway my current favorite is :
453.7250 (97.4) R 458.7250 (97.4) Eastern State Hospital- Medical Lake KNNN241
which shares the frequency with Silver Mountain Ski operations in Kellogg , Id via geographic isolation on a different tone (71.9)- so if you hear ski lift operations and then someone getting thier tail kicked you will understand. If you are between the two like in liberty lake or Otis Orchards this might be the case. Anyway, it is kinda fun to hear the staff jump on the residents when they get out of hand- this is the state booby hatch after all.

Good luck and have a safe drive (keep 159.0750 on, WSP Airops) and be aware that unmarked troopers are common. If you see a 2-door red small buick with limo tinted windows use caution it might be a trooper.

Oh yeah, get a Dicks Burger @ Division and I-90 while you are in town- it is what Mcdonalds used to be. Enjoy the Spokane culture.

Mike
