I picked up a Sporty's JD-100 at the Mansfield hamfest Sunday and so far it compares very favorably with the PRO-93 that is sitting a couple of feet away. The JD-100 is limited by the number of memories (20), the slower scanning speed and lack of a channel delay. Perhaps the biggest issue is the funky way it is operated, from entering the frequencies to start the scan function. It took about half an hour and many key presses to figure it out. But not bad for a 20+ year old scanner.
