Colorado Springs Police are investigating a double homicide at the intersection of Carmel Drive and Monterey Road.
Police received a call before 11:00 pm on Friday evening. When police arrived two minutes later they found two victims lying near the street. A man approximately 20 years old was declared dead at the scene and a female, approximately 18 years old was taken to Memorial Hospital where she later died.
The names of the two victims has not yet been released and Detectives from the Violent Crimes Section Homicide Unit are investigating. If you know anything about the shooting you are asked to call Colorado Springs Police Department at 444-7000 or Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.
