spyverter questions

So this may be simple but without any markings which end of the spyverter do I plug in the antenna.

What would be a good starter antenna for the commercial AM Bands?

Spyverter end with the "r" goes to the Airpspy. End with the "S" go to the HF antenna.

As the case can be reversed...

The end with the USB connector goes toward the Airspy.

Commercial AM? Likely a longwire.
