Hi. Might just be my 346 xt but has anyone discerned squelch tails on some of the trunk groups in the Suffolk County system? After the user drops the tail is clearly audible and the 346 stays on the site with the same display - including group number. I assume that the tail is what's holding the scan in place (its not on "hold"). Meanwhile - and this is the really strange part - I get transmissions from other trunk groups while the tail is hanging and the display still shows the original group number. Any ideas ? Thanks !!

Make sure you've got the End Code set to Yes.

Edit Sys Option > Set End Code > Yes

Yup, if it's set to Ignore, that'll do it. Yes listens for the end code (the little rumble you hear when someone stops transmitting), whereas Ignore forces the scanner to wait until the carrier drops. Trouble is, if the carrier doesn't drop before another talkgroup is active on that same frequency, you're going to hear that transmission also.
