I have looked and cant seem to find this in the forum so I thought I would ask. I live in Indianapolis and recently got a 500. I have had other scanners before and never ran into this before. It seems like the scanner will recieve a signal for a channel and then it cuts off and starts scanning again. I have Win500 and have looked there and cant seem to find anything there that says where it should be set at. I have tried the tune/adjust then hitting enter and that don't seem to be working. I know that the signal should be good here so it can't be due to where I live cause this is the first scanner I have ever had issues with the signal strength.
Any suggestions?

Hello David,

You may try change the DG Int Prime" parameter on your scanner,it did help
on mine, but every case is not the same. But worth a try and if does not help
just put the DG Int Prime" parameter back to 60 and save.It could be many things
and this just might help you. Also try shut off any priorty talkgroups and see if that helps.
And you can play around with the delay settings and Dwell settings also could be the problem.

Here is the step by step link for the DG Int Prime" parameter:

Why do I Notice a delay in Unmuting on certain Analog Talkgroups and Channels? - Powered By Kayako SupportSuite

Good Luck and there are many other people can help until we can pin point your problem

Sorry to hear that! Did you play around with the delay settings and Dwell settings in Win500? If not try a dwell setting of 2000 and put a delay check also and it should not cut out so fast.

Also you can try put your question in the Indianapolis forums,or in the Win500 software forum and put the system you are having trouble with would help you get a quicker answer.

One of my Airport OPS,cuts out all the time, but by putting the dwell setting to(2000) and delay check fixed that problem and adjusted the Squelch to a lower level on the scanner and now it tracks correctly with no cut offs.

Good Luck!

Are you scanning a trunked system? If so? On Win500,you will see it under the TSYS objects
there is a Dwell setting that you can change it. Try 2000 see if that works? It might
be set at 0? Which could be your problem?.Just guessing...and put a delay also on that system.
(Dwell is right next to the (Type) of system on Win500)

If your scanning Conv Objects? There is a delay that you can check under CONV Objects
tab.If you tell us the system you are trying to track? it could help in sloving your problem.

Good luck!
