When the issue pops up. It pops up on any TG that I have entered in the scanner. So all of a sudden I'll have city CMD2 or tac or dispatch whatever tg pop up on the scanner with a CC channel noise coming through...

Sacscan I do the West Sac PD and Fire feed. Do you want me to program your missing agencies while you get a replacement?

Justin
Thanks, but I was able to program my friend's extra BC246T with those agencies. He's going to put a BCT15X where the 246T used to be before the feed scanner died. The 246T will remain on the feed permanently.

I tested his feed on my phone and it's working much better now.

SRRCS site 2 (County) rebanding update part 3 ...

The following are new voice frequencies:
851.8000
851.8500
852.0750
852.1500
852.1750

That leaves 10 frequencies left to be cut over. Although the DB lists all 4 control channels, two of them have not yet "lit up". Five a day sounds like a plan.

Looks like Fry's Electronics was anticipating the rebanding, or their timing is just right. They had 4 BCT15Xs yesterday when I went there with the friend who needed another scanner after having to use one of his own scanners to replace the Sacramento feed's BC246T that died.

They also have a bunch of BC346XTs and at least one BCD996XT.

Hi all, my first post, I've been a long time Citrus Heights listener and now my bc780xlt can't handle the reband. Need to catch up on all the new Rebanding info and how it works, read a few of you have bct15x, is this a good one to go with? I'm looking for something that is compatible to the 780 with alpha tags and such, and of course can pick up these new rebanded sac frequencies. Thanks for your help as always

Necessary to update band plan first?

Hey everyone, I haven't posted for a while, but this topic is definitely post worthy.

I've been keeping track of all the changes, thanks to everyone for being so on top of this. I have a 396 and can't figure out from the thread if I need to update the band plan before reprogramming the system(s), or not.

Would it make sense to make one list of all the high level steps needed to update, and make it a sticky in Sac Valley Area?

You don't need the bandplan for a 396. Just program only the control channels and you will be fine

Your master site
It's amazing that ONE freq can completely mess up listening pleasure....... Couldn't hypothetically I put all the city freq in, then attentuate 852.1000?
There's really no solution. Even a yagi still receives from the rear. The only other option - if one - is to try a corner reflector 800 antenna. With the transit trunked channel (proprietary trunking) running 120W ERP there may not even be a way around it even with a corner reflector.

Re: Necessary to update band plan first?

Turns out that on my 396xt that control channels were not enough. I had to add a custom band plan for both sites in order for it to work. I used the one listed in this thread, and from Scannermaster.com

As soon as the new band plan was in place, everything starting tracking.

1 851.0250 854.0000 440 + 25 kHz
2 851.0125 868.9875 0 + 25 kHz

My firmware is 1.07.00, and I can't update to the newer one, (check my COM settings, yeah, right, Freescan works fine). Oh well, seems to be working now.

Thanks.
