Re; bandplan

If someone is creating the bandplan by hand, rather than using one that might be pre-programmed; I'd use the following:

BASE: 851.0125
LO: 0
HI: 439
SPACING: 25.00

BASE: 851.0250
LO 440
HI: 559
SPACING: 25.00
------------------------------------------------------------

I'm confused on the bandplan. My 996 is asking for upper, lower, spacing and Offset. I have the following.. Is this right?

band 1
Upper: 851.0125
Lower: (calculated by proscan): 853.9875
Spacing: 25
Offset:439

Band2;
Upper: 851.0250
Lower: 856.0250
Spacing: 25
Offset: 559

I have a rock solid 10 on a scale of 1-10 receiving 853.8750 (@ 07:50) with 99% decode (highest it goes). It sounds like you are programmed off a bit.

You should start a new thread on your issue. And in that thread tell us what model scanner you are using. Many older scanners will NOT be able to trunk track this new system. You can scan the frequencies, but the scanner won't automatically calculate the proper voice channel. Newer scanners will work, but you have to program in the correct band plan.[/QUOTE

thank you....do you of any stores or persons that will give or...help for hire like the old stores off of power Inn rd ? and I will try a New Thread....TU

No those offsets are wrong

Lower 851.0125, upper 861.9875
step 25.0, offset 0

Lower 851.025, upper 859.000
step 25.0, offset 440

This is the standard for ALL rebanded systems.

Still not hearing anything.. listening to the RR feed and mine at the same time... RR feed has traffic, however mine is not. Does it matter if I have the 5 rebanded freq programmed with the old 866-868 freq?

Neither bandplan is correct as I'm hearing train traffic on County Cmd 2 which I know is wrong and I'm not hearing any dispatches and maybe 1 tac traffic in the past 20 minutes...If I knew what offset was maybe I could figure it out myself.

This is the bandplan I'm using, straight from the Uniden owner's manual.

Band Plan 1 Base Freq (Lower)-851.025 Base Freq (Upper)-854.000 Offset-440 Polarity + Spacing 25 kHz
Band Plan 2 Base Freq (Lower)-851.0125 Base Freq (Upper)-868.9875 Offset-0 Polarity + Spacing 25 kHz

So far this bandplan is working flawlessly for both sites, even though most of the Site 002 voice channels are still on the old frequencies.

I've noticed that the county system is not coming in very well today. is this because they're only 5 rebanded freq's and the rest are old or is it something else? City comes in better and I'm in Livermore.
