Anyone know where I can get an SSE-DIP2002-AB.EU diplexer?

http://www.ssejim.co.uk/38-dip2002abeu.htm

I've only found 1 source for it, located in the UK. I tried 3 times to contact that company over the last few weeks, but nobody has bothered to get back to me.

The part number above is close to what I am looking for, as that website shows the part number 3 different ways on the same page.

SSE-DIP2002 AB-EU
SSE-DIP2002.AB.EU
SSE-DIP2002-AB.EU

They may have gone out of business, as their page counter doesn't seem to increment & a lot of the links are dead. But hopefully someone's aware of a retailer somewhere who still has some of these in stock.

They also make a similar model (SSE-DIP2002-AB which has BNC connectors), but I'm looking for the one with .EU at the end of the part number, which is weatherproof & comes with N connectors.

Thanks in advance.

I realize that this thread is almost a decade old :D, but I'm wondering if someone since then may be able to provide me with any information regarding this product.

I have been trying over the years, unsuccessfully, to contact SSE (UK), but have received no replies from them.

Thanks in advance & have a great day.

That would be something I would have noticed if advertised anywhere and I've never seen one. If your wanting to diplex a VHF air and UHF air antenna to one radio or a broad band antenna to two separate receivers, I've had great success with a Comet CF-142 diplexer. It covers 1.3 to 150MHz on one port and 200 to 480MHz on the other.

Fantastic! Exactly what I'm looking for :D.

One more question: Is this something that you think could be mounted outside on my mast, exposed to the elements? Or should it be protected from the environment?

Cold temperature exposure (except high heat & humidity) is of no concern, but we have a lot of salt in the air (due to us being surrounded by ocean). I would seal all antenna connections, though.

Thanks again for your recommendation, and have a great weekend.

Regards,
John

I use mine indoors and it doesn't look very weather proof. I would mount it inside another box or at least cover it and weather proof the connectors.

I don't have that particular unit, but I have a lot of luck with PVC electrical boxes for outdoor mounting. I have all sorts of stuff mounted in them, from antenna tuners to security camera connectors.
If they have conduit openings in them, I use those and seal with duct seal. If they are solid boxes, I use a step drill bit and make the size hole I need.
Something like:
CANTEX® NM Fittings & Accessories Junction Box-Cover

In the States, they are easy to find in the national home store chains like Home Depot and Lowes. I've never been to Bermuda, but unless they are prohibited by code, they are probably available in hardware stores or electrical trade suppliers?
